Is the last thing she says before she makes her way there. Joie looks just fine, honestly, she is fine. She’s just tired of trying to do things the way she’s been doing them.
Once she gets into the treehouse she’s going looking for Sky. “Love?”
She wrapped her arms around Sky, its tight and lingering. It’s like she doesn’t want to pull away. She doesn’t, she won’t, at least for now.
“I’m sorry,” she says quietly. “I’ve not been the best partner lately.” She doesn’t want to dwell on it too much, or feel sorry for herself. She just wants to fix what she’s doing.
“I’m so used to doing things alone, and I should really start relying on people more.” She frowns.
“I got scared after that time I was paralyzed. I’ve been out trying to get enough bones for my powers. I’m nearly there. Then I can protect what matters.” Joie sighs, leaning on Night Sky a little more.
“I’ve nearly died so many times before, but that was the first time I felt hopeless.” She admits.
"I'm sorry, baby. You know I would have come to help you if you needed me to." With the quests, at least. There was little she could have done for the paralysis at the time.
Night Sky leaned back to cup Joie's face. "You don't have to do any of this alone."
“I wish I would have realized that much sooner, instead I’ve kept running off and not being a good partner to you.” She leans in to place little kisses on her cheeks.
“You know you help me by just being here. You always make me so happy.” Joie would do good to remember all of that too.
"I won't run off again, you can be assured of that. But I'd also like to make it up to you if I can." She knows she has to talk to Aymeric and Halsin too. She'd been trying to grow closer to them as well.
But Sky? Sky was special. The mere thought of hurting her was just terrible. Joie had thought that she'd managed to fumble pretty hard here.
“Of course I’m offering.” Taking her hand and tugging her along to her room. “I’ve missed you terribly, and I don’t think I can be away from you a moment more.”
“You on top of me, how does that sound?” She winks a little, already working to get her own top off. She really should find something with less buckles and buttons. It would save her a lot of trouble.
"That could mean a lot of things." She teased. Night Sky reached out to help undo all those buckles and buttons, leaned in to kiss the long column of Joie's neck while she did so.
She’s tilting her head for her, humming in though. It could mean so many things. Joie isn’t even sure if she wants to lead or if she wants Night Sky to lead. It’s been overwhelming since she’s been away.
“Well, I could eat you out and then let you take me? Unless you want to be taken instead?”
"We'll play it by ear." She murmured, hand resting on Joie's cheek. "But eating me out sounds like a great place to start, sweetness. I'll be sure to return the favor, of course."

"It's okay." She assured her. "It's hard to get used to asking for help, so I get it. Do you want to talk about it?"
